Are your children taught that there are good alternatives to
religion?
The answer is almost certainly No. Visit the discussion

What you can do to help
Should Sussex hospitals employ non-religious
chaplains?
Over a third of hospital patients are non-religious,
yet West Sussex PCT only employs religious chaplains. Is this
how you want your taxes spent? Read more here
and in the forum.
You can also email West
Sussex PCT.

Campaign for Humanist representation on West
Sussex SACRE
In March
2007, West Sussex County Council voted against including a Humanist
representative on the Standing Advisory Committee for Religious
Education (SACRE).
If you want the many non-religious residents of West Sussex to
be represented in RE, email
your local councillor. It only takes a few minutes.
Take this poll. Please only vote once.

Keep our welfare services secular
The government is keen to farm out statutory welfare services
to religious organisations.
Read more about it here
and find out what you can do to help locally.
Do you know of any secular bodies holding religious services
in West Sussex?
The only way to celebrate Remembrance Day seems to be in a church.
But what about other celebrations, e.g. a Mayor's civic service?
Report any you know about in the discussion
forum.
